Guest blog: a very kinky game

It’s rare for me to hear of something that’s genuinely new to me, but this week the amazing Cammies on the Floor has done it. She emailed me a while ago to tell me about an amazing kinky game: it’s a ‘hunt’ that she takes part in, and it works like an adult version of the ‘wild games’ you may have played at scouts when you were younger.

In the middle of the woods, people sign up to be prey or hunters. The prey have “bounties” on their heads – services or goods that they give if caught (later in the day). The prey are released into the woods, and they run for whatever cover they can. The hunters wait with paintball guns for about ten minutes, before a loud signal is given to warn the prey that the hunters are now in the woods.
A hunter may only capture one prey at a time – giving the prey they find a chance to surrender or run and be shot, with two prey maximum. Once the prey is caught, they are escorted by the hunter to the top of the hill where the spectators are…

*I am so very fortunate to be a part of a group that really does a hunt. I decided to write up a story that explains this hunt, and also what may go on in the prey’s minds as they are being hunted. Please do not ask me where or when this event takes places, this is a private event.*

She could hear her heart pounding in her ears and her breaths coming out in ragged breaths. What else did she expect when she was being hunted by people in the woods, and had just run to a hiding spot? Everything seemed to move in slow motion as she ran and searched for a spot, and yet, now that she was hidden, time seemed to stand still. Surely it had been ten minutes since the prey was released, surely the hunters would begin the hunt and chase by now. Maybe she had missed the signal.

As she began to fret about the hunters already being upon her area, searching, she heard the air horn. She jumped at the sudden sound. That was the signal – the hunters were now in the woods. She had no ideas where the other men and women had hidden that were also designated prey. She heard running footsteps and crouched lower, the hunter quickly passing her by, a destination that was further into the woods than she had ventured. His footsteps were so loud in the silent woods, even overriding her own frightened heartbeat. The thought of how loud the hunters could be, unafraid, versus the hiding prey crossed her thoughts.

Brush beside her crackled, and she held her breath, willed herself to not breathe, felt the screaming of her thighs in her crouched position. She saw the black barrel of the paint gun in her periphery vision, and even knowing that it was not a real gun, she felt a surge of fearful adrenaline course through her body. The hand and then body of the man appeared in her sight, moving at a steady pace. While blurred with green branches and leaves, he was so close, surely he would hear her, see her crouched form, smell her even.

She was sweating, her body taut and tense. Should she run if discovered and risk being shot, or should she surrender? She wasn’t sure what she would do, but her gaze wouldn’t tear away from the figure. Suddenly the brushing of foliage and crunching leaves sounded in front of them and the man shouted to surrender, then raised his gun a bit more and fired. She heard the moan of frustration from a man and the hunter’s chuckle, and then the hunter sprinted away.

Whew, she was safe! She felt her body relax a bit and she felt lightheaded.

“Surrender, little one,” she heard a voice say; it seemed to be above her. Her heart stopped and her breath caught. Was it directed at her? What if it wasn’t and she stood and surrendered for no reason? What if it was and while she was debating over such nonsense he took that as noncompliance and shot her? Shouldn’t she be running?

The truth was that she couldn’t move if she wanted to. She felt frozen. Something touched her back and she jumped up with a yelp.

“It’s okay.” The voice sounded soothing. “I take it you’re surrendering?” She spun around and faced the hunter, their paintball masks making both of their identities a bit hard to distinguish, not to mention that she was in camouflage from wrist to ankle. She nodded, and slowly pulled off her mask. He did the same, and they smiled at each other, a tentative peace settling between what was a tense situation. “Well, come on then.”

As he walked her up to the spectator center, they spoke in hushed voices of who they were, and she stated her bounty for catching her, promising to deliver it to him as soon as the round was over.

She hoped the round was almost over, as she was a bit apprehensive about the spectator arena. There the hunter would record his catch, turn her over, and she would be wrist-tied to a post where the spectators would read her limits posted over her and then play with her as they wished. She hoped she wisely chose good limits, gulped and knew that she could tell anyone anytime to stop, but that knowledge didn’t help.

They came upon another couple – hunter and prey – right before they reached the spectator’s arena; the prey’s clothes splattered in paint, a clear indication he ran. He was so large next to his captor, a small woman like herself dressed in pink with pigtails, a confident stride with the gun propped up against her shoulder. He held both of their masks and she wondered if she should have offered to carry the hunter’s mask that caught her rather than just pushing hers on top of her head. The other prey gave her a lopsided grin, not seeming to be concerned with what lay ahead but she felt her nervousness increase as they all approached the recording tent.
