Draw your orgasm: the entries so far

An orgasm, by @annalank

Want to know what an orgasm looks like? These are the entries in the ‘draw your orgasm’ comp so far, and I am beyond delighted with them. The rules state that you can enter anything visual – so photos, drawings, and anything else that you think might demonstrate what an orgasm feels like to you – one person even carved their orgasm into their Halloween pumpkin, a level of commitment and ingenuity that has bowled me over.

If you’d like to submit your own, you’ve got one week left to enter. The rules of the comp are here: just email me your pic before midnight (UK time) on 10th November, and I’ll publish a shortlist of entries for voting on the 11th November. Once you’ve picked your favourites, the judges will pick the overall winner, and send amazing prizes their way.

And now, some of the entries so far (in order of submission). The third entry and the final entry are both NSFW so make sure your boss isn’t looking over your shoulder when you scroll down.

What I like about this one is the messy, chaotic colourstorm. It’s pretty evocative, no?

I follow FrogCroakley on Twitter for his unique blend of comedy and ‘OMFG what weird picture have you just put into my head?’ His orgasm image runs in the same vein.

A pretty direct approach here, but I certainly can’t fault how pretty the picture is. The arched-neck thing is pretty standard in my own orgasms too…

This entry is anon, and the entrant explains: “Someone once asked me how I would explain an orgasm to someone who had never experienced one, and I right away thought of a kaleidoscopic image.” And I can totally see this – the shattering, colours, etc, all speaks to something pretty orgasmic.

This is the pumpkin entry I was telling you about, and I cannot get enough of it. The pinpricks of light, the fact that warmth and heat is coming from the inside… it’s a totally unique interpretation yet still also evokes loads of the stuff that’s awesome about orgasm.

Keeping it simple, this one, but I love it. Not just for the ‘sparkler as shiny jizzing cock’ metaphor, but for the massive and childish grin.

What does an orgasm look like? Molly's Daily Kiss shows you

An orgasm, by Molly

This is so gorgeous, and I think Molly sums it up best – “Everything is brighter, smoother, softer and yet there is an urgency and rawness.” It’s like a bright flash of hotness.

Huge thanks to everyone who has entered so far, and please do keep sending your entries in. Check the comp rules, lust after the excellent prizes (£100 sextoys.co.uk voucher, a framed orgasm print, and an awesome sex ed book), then email your pic to hellogirlonthenet [at] gmail [dot] com. You’ve got till midnight on the 10th November (UK time), and after that I’ll post all the entries in one place so you can vote for your favourites.

I have absolutely NO idea how you are going to pick just one…. they are all so different and subjective to that person. I have to say though I really like the pumpkin too. Very simple but really rather powerful and the drawing at the top, the explosion in the head and the groin, THAT!

    • Girl on the net says:

Yep – I think it’s going to be pretty difficult to pick an overall winner. What I love about this comp (and the ‘write your orgasm’ comp from a while ago) is the sheer variety in the entries. Although everyone’s interpretation is different, every one of them I look at and think ‘yep, that rings a bell.’ Orgasms: clearly pretty damn special =)

Just seen the like via twitter to the Mirror article, which reproduces some of these images. I was thinking of submitting a drawing, but now I want to know how copyright is being handled? Implicit in submitting to the competition, I would assume, is permission for you to reproduce the works submitted, but what other permissions are being asked for/assumed? Did the Mirror have to contact the artists themselves, did they ask you, or did they just go ahead without asking?

    • Girl on the net says:

Hello! Good question, and thanks for asking. On the rules I’ve said if you submit you’re happy for me to reproduce to administer and promote the comp, so when The Mirror asked for an interview I just made it clear that they should credit the artists, which they did. but if there are purposes for which you’d rather others didn’t use images then please do let me know and I’ll make sure I respect what you’re happy with. All the images so far I’ve been careful to ensure proper accreditation, but of course consent is key.

      • ValeryNorth says:

Thanks for the clarification. Still working on my idea, but I’ll have a think and if I decide on anything to cover, I’ll include that when I submit. Thanks again!

      • Molly says:

Sadly the Mirror felt unable to publish my boobs which is kind of ironic considering the general tone of most of the articles on their site when it comes to women…. Actually made me laugh, God forbid nipples…. Hey look at all these celebrities in their bikinis.

Glad you got a mention though, very cool!

        • Girl on the net says:

Ah, I think it’s because they have to have pretty strict rules about nudity if they don’t have guarantees that the person is over 18, etc. I know porn sites have to keep records and things to show that everyone’s over 18. The nipples thing is odd though – FB is the same about considering female nipples nudity but male nipples are fine. It’s a strange one, imho.

  • rtttst says:

    That top one is fantastic.

    • Girl on the net says:

Yea! They’re basically all fantastic – just wait til you see the full set =)

Thing I love most about this comp is the variety and diversity in how people experience an orgasm.
